The first 2021-2022 Council of Governors Meeting is scheduled to convene at 10:00 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1822 Tanner Bridge Road, Jefferson City, MO, on Saturday, July 17, 2021.

There will be a hospitality room hosted by the Council on Friday, July 16th, beginning at 6 p.m. in the Tuscany Room at the Best Western Plus Capital Inn, 1937 Christy Drive, Jefferson City, MO.
(The hotel is a short, 5 minute drive to the Knights of Columbus Hall.)
We will have a Work Session at 9:00 Saturday morning at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 1822 Tanner Bridge Road, Jefferson City, MO. All District Governors are encouraged to attend as we have some items to discuss before the General Session begins at 10:00 a.m.
We will break for lunch and everyone will be on their own. There are several places to choose from in the area.
A block of rooms is reserved for Missouri Lions at a rate of $90 plus tax per room per night. To make reservations call Best Western Plus Capital Inn at 573-635-4175, and tell them you are with the Lions. OUR BLOCK OF ROOMS WILL BE RELEASED ON July 6th, SO MAKE YOUR RESERVATIONS SOON.
Reservations have been made for the Past International Directors and the Council of Governors. If you are not attending or do not need this room, please contact Lion Jackie to cancel the reservation or you will be charged for it.
A hot breakfast is available from 6 – 10am at the hotel every morning.
The 1st Vice District Governors will have a training session from 7:30 – 8:30am Saturday in Room 329 at the hotel before the Council Work Session.
The 2nd Vice District Governors will have a training session from 7:30 – 8:30am Saturday in Room 331 at the hotel before the Council Work Session.
The DG, 1st VDG, and 2nd VDG Spouses will get together at 8:45am Saturday morning in Room 329 at the hotel.
Your report (as Word doc) must be sent to Lion Jackie fourteen (14) days prior to the Council meeting to be included in the packets. If your report is not submitted on time, you will need to furnish twenty-eight (28) copies of your report at the meeting for the head table. Since the length of time for reports varies, please be there at the beginning of the meeting to ensure that you are present when it is time for your committee report. If you will not be able to attend this meeting, please be sure a member of your committee is prepared to report on your behalf.
You may want to meet prior to the New Business session on Saturday to formulate a recommendation for the site of the October 2022 Council Meeting.
Hospitality will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the Tuscany Room.
1st VDG Training will be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in Room 329.
2nd VDG Training will be held at 7:30 a.m. Saturday in Room 331.
DG & VDG Spouses’ Get-Together will be held at 8:45 a.m. Saturday in Room 329.
Work Session and Council of Governors meeting will be held at the Knights of Columbus Hall.
