The first Council of Governors Meeting is scheduled to convene at 10:00 a.m. at Players Restaurant (Downstairs), 403 E. Russell Avenue, Warrensburg, on Saturday, July 21, 2018.

A work session for the Governors is set for that morning at 9:00 at the same location.
We plan to recess for lunch at 11:15 and reconvene at 12:45 to finish the meeting.
Room reservations have been made at Comfort Inn for the Directors and Council of Governors. If you are not attending or do not need this room, please contact Lion Brenda to cancel the reservation. All others can make reservations directly with Comfort Inn ($86 plus tax) – 660-429-4848. The block of rooms will be released JUNE 30!
The 1st Vice District Governors may want to meet prior to the New Business session on Saturday to formulate a recommendation for the site of the October 2019 Council Meeting.
For Lions making reports to the Council, please keep in mind that the length of reports vary, and if possible, be prepared to give yours at least 30 minutes prior to your anticipated time. If you are not able to attend this meeting, please ensure that a member of your committee is prepared to report on your behalf. Your written report must be sent to Lion Brenda fourteen (14) days prior to the meeting to be included in the packets. If not, you will need to bring 28 copies with you to the meeting.
Governors, if your District Directory is ready please bring a copy for Lion Brenda to use at the State Office and one for Lion Ron.
The Athletic Committee would like to remind you of the Football Banquet scheduled for Friday, July 20, at 6:30 p.m. at University of Central Missouri Student Union. Reservations are $25 per person and MUST BE MADE NO LATER THAN JULY 9. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Please mail your reservation form (attached) and check to the State Office. The All-Star Game will be held Saturday, July 21, at the stadium on campus. Pre-game activities begin at 6:30 p.m. and kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. A reservation form for advance game tickets is also attached.
A reminder – According to our Policy Manual “MD 26 will reimburse, from MD 26 administrative funds, the expenses of each MD 26 district governor for one of the four regular council meetings. The council meeting reimbursed by MD 26 should be the council meeting which is the least expensive and based on the mileage, meals, and overnight lodging authorized by the Lions Clubs International Reimbursement Policy. In most cases this will be the meeting closest to their home.”
